Born in London in 1984, of French parents, Sebastian Monti begins the violin and the organ at the age of 10 to the Academy Couperin de Tournan-en-Brie. Very fast fascinated by the music of the XVIIth and XVIIIth centuries, he is also interested in the vocal directory. In 2004, he integrates the Center of Baroque Music of Versailles as student-bard where he works the singing and approaches the baroque directory with Gaël de Kerret, Hélène Dufour, Julie Hassler, Frédérique Desenclos and Arnaud Pumir. He also participates in Master's degree-class of Marteen Konigsberger, Alain Buet, Isabelle Poulenard, Isabelle Desrochers, Christine Schweitzer, Pierre Mervant and Valérie Guillorit. In 2007, Jean-Claude Malgoire, François Bazola, Benoît Haller and Christine Schweitzer award him, unanimously, his diploma of musical studies of singing with a very-good mention. At the same time, he approaches the classic and romantic directory with Micaela Etcheverry.
In 2007, under the Hervé Niquet's educational responsibility, he participates in the Baroque Academy of Ambronay (dedicated this year to Le Carnival et la Folie byAndré-Cardinal Destouches) and sings in Cadmus et Hermione by J. B. Lully managed by Vincent Dumestre and represented to the Opera Comique of Paris.
Since 2008, he sings regularly within the Concert d'Astrée managed by Emmanuelle Haïm (Thésée de Lully in the Théâtre des Champs Elysées, Hyppolite de Rameau in the Capitol of Toulouse, Dardanus de Rameau in the opera of Lille, Caen and Dijon). Besides, he is also sought by Ton Koopman, Hugo Reyne, Pierre Cao and Jérôme Correas (Paladins), Rolandas Muleika ( Antiphona), Philippe le Corf (Aria Voce), Marek Stryncl ( Musica Florea), Michel Laplénie ( Saggitarius) engage him as soloist.
In 2009, he occurs in recital around Diechterliebe de Robert Schumann and Fidelio de Beethoven's extracts.
In 2010 he sings the role title of Atys by Lully with Almazis of Iakovos Pappas in Megaron of Athens, and the role title of Actéon by Charpentier with Talens Lyriques supervised by Christophe Rousset to the Imperial Theater of Compiègne. It also happens as tenor soloist in the Vespers to the Virgin by Monteverdi in Prague and in the Officium defunctorum and the Requiem for Auguste III de Zelenka to Beaugency and as he records in Prague with the sound engineer Andreas Glatt for the German label Accent (publish in November, 2010) supervised by Vaclav Luks (Collegium 1704). He sings as tenor soloist in the Great Mass in C by Mozart to the festival " Music in Morvan " supervised by Pierre Cao.
Soon, you can hear him in the Evangelist of the Saint John's Passion by Bach to the Philharmonic Hall of Berlin supervised by Gerhard Oppelt with Berlin Baroque, in the role title of Orphée by Gluck (version original of 1774) in the House of the Music of Nanterre supervised by Dominique Daigremont with Les Gouts Réunis, in Apollon's role in the opera Le Pouvoir de l'Amour by Pancrace Royer in Montansier's Theater in Versailles supervised by Patrick Bismuth and in various programs of music crowned to the festivals of Chaise-Dieu, Sablé, Ambronay, Pontoise, Poissy, Hamburg, Dresden and Prague.
